I’m at peace because I know He’s got me. Some people have disliked me simply because I’m always smiling and happy. But here’s the truth, my smile isn’t because life is perfect or everything is in order.
I smile for two reasons, first, it’s the best makeup a woman can wear. Second, and more importantly, I smile because God has given me every reason to.
God has blessed me beyond what I can count, even when I don’t deserve it.
“For the grace of God has appeared, that offers salvation to all people.” (Titus 2:11)
He has never left my side, even in my darkest hour. I’m happy because I serve a God who is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
“It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
I have a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that, even when challenges arise, allows me to remain calm because it comes directly from God.
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
I’m happy because God calms the storms inside me, tames the lioness in me, and reminds me daily that He is more than enough.
“For I the Lord your God keep hold of your right hand; [I am the Lord], Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’”(Isaiah 41:13)
I encourage you today, don’t try to find peace in your own strength. Seek the supernatural peace that God freely gives, the peace that doesn’t make sense to the human mind but makes perfect sense when you know where your strength comes from.
