From Overlooked to Elevated

“Saul became even more afraid of him (David), and he remained David’s enemy for the rest of his life. Every time the commanders of the Philistines attacked, David was more successful than all the rest of Saul’s officers. So David’s name became very famous.” (1 Samuel 18:29-30)

When you walk in obedience to God, He will shield you, stand for you, and elevate you, even in the presence of those who oppose you.

📖 “He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies.” (Psalm 23:5)

🛡️“The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” (Psalm 28:7)

🩸He anointed David with oil (1 Samuel 16:13), and He’ll anoint you too.

Out of all seven of David’s brothers, the strong, the qualified, the visible, God chose the one who was overlooked. The one left out in the field. The one who didn’t even fit the armor.

Yet that’s the one God raised up.

So don’t be discouraged by who passed you by or who speaks against you. God’s favor will find you. His hand will lift you. His anointing will distinguish you.

Because if God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31) 🙌🏼
